Cantonese is a primary branch of Chinese mainly spoken in South China, as well as by substantial overseas Chinese populations around the world. It is among the top 30 most spoken languages in the world with a speaking population comparable to that of French or Italian!
UBC offers the only university for credit comprehensive Cantonese language program in Canada with courses at all levels.
