Cantonese Fun Night 2022 粵夜粵繽 Fun

Our 3rd annual Cantonese Fun Night is coming soon!  The 3rd Annual Cantonese Fun Night will provide opportunities for students from the beginning and intermediate classes to mingle and share their passion for Cantonese learning. This year, we will have 3 types of contests which include singing, dubbing, and a special talent show for students to participate in.  In addition, we will have a Trivia game for those who come to Cantonese Fun Night.

Three types of contests:

1) Singing

You can pick a song in Cantonese, and you are allowed to partner with no more than ONE student to do this performance.  Please provide an instrumental backing track without the main vocals if you choose it.

2) Dubbing

Please CREATE A NEW DIALOGUE for the following videos. Sound and subtitles have been removed on purpose in the following videos. 

You are allowed to partner with no more than ONE student to do this performance.

For students in CNTO 301/311, you can choose ONE of the following videos to dub.

For students in CNTO 401, please use the video below to dub.

3) Other special talents

If you have other special talents, you are more than welcome to choose this option.  Examples of other talents include but are not limited to poetry reciting, Cantonese kungfu, dancing to a Cantonese song, and stand-up comedy in Cantonese. You are allowed to partner with no more than ONE student to do this performance.
