Dr. Chan Ka Ming 陳嘉銘博士

陳嘉銘是會Busking的教書人。他在香港中文大學文化研究博士畢業，專事電影和流行文化，以及動物與生態人文學研究，並在香港中文大學任教期間，自2012 年及2015 年分別開設及教授「名人，明星及香港流行文化」和「動物，文化與社會」兩個學科，是為香港大專教育裏，最初出現的明星研究及生態人文課程。近作有《寫在牠們滅絕之前——香港動物文化誌》（2018）、《給下一輪廣東歌盛世備忘錄——香港樂壇變奏》（2022）及《給香港樂壇寫笑忘書》（2024）（合著）。現為任教流行音樂、香港電影、生態電影與動物倫理等學科。

Chan Ka Ming graduated with a PhD in cultural studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, specializing in film and pop culture, as well as animal and ecological humanities. While teaching at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, he designed and started the courses of “Celebrities, Stars and Hong Kong Popular Culture” and “Animal, Culture and Society” since 2012 and 2015 respectively. His recent publications include Writing in the End Times – The Cultural Record for Animals (2018), Memos for Canto-pop in the Next Millennium (2022) and The Book of Unforgetting Canto-pop (2024) (co-written). He is currently teaching in subjects of pop music, Hong Kong cinema, ecological film and animal ethics.
