Join us for an immersive and dynamic Cantonese teaching workshop if you are interested and passionate about Cantonese teaching. Teachers of all experience levels from seasoned educators to novice instructors are welcomed. Led by Dr. Ken Cheng & Dr. Wong Tak-sum of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the workshop delves into the latest development of learner corpora and its application to Cantonese research. The workshop will also announce a new collaboration between the University of British Columbia and Hong Kong Polytechnic University on a new Cantonese learner corpus project.
歡迎各位對粵語教學感興趣人士參加本次沉浸式粵語教學工作坊。無論資深教育工作者或有意參與粵語教學人士均可參加。工作坊由香港理工大學鄭紹基博士及黃得森博士主講，介紹學習者語料庫發展及相關粵語研究。工作坊亦將宣佈英屬哥倫比亞大學及香港理工大學開展粵語學習者語料庫合作計劃。

Dr Ken CHENG 鄭紹基博士

Dr Ken CHENG is currently a Principal Lecturer and former Director of the Chinese Language Centre (CLC) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is now leading a funding allocation on the Development of Global eResources for Teaching and Learning of Cantonese as a Second Language in collaboration of the Cantonese program of UBC, aiming to maximize the teaching and learning effectiveness of Cantonese through digital technologies. His area of scholarship includes Cantonese linguistics as well as Chinese language learning and teaching. 

鄭紹基博士為香港理工大學中國語文教學中心首席講師及前總監。他目前正與卑詩大學粵語課程合作，開發粵語二語教學的全球電子資源，旨在通過數位技術革新粵語教學。他的學術領域包括粵語語言學以及中國語文教育。

Dr WONG Tak-sum 黃得森博士 

Dr WONG Tak-sum is a visiting lecturer in the Department of the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies (CBS), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).  He received his BEng in Computer Science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2004 and his PhD in Linguistics from City University of Hong Kong in 2018.  He has built a treebank of the Tripiṭaka Koreana during his doctoral study.  He has been publishing in areas including Sinitic brush-talk, quantitative study of historical syntax, treebanking, corpus linguistics, Cantonese linguistics, and computer assisted language learning. 

黃得森博士於香港理工大學中文及雙語學系（CBS）任職客席講師。 他於 2004 年在香港科技大學獲得計算機科學學士學位，並於 2018 年在香港城市大學獲得語言學博士學位。 他曾在漢文筆談、歷史句法量化研究、樹庫、語料庫語言學、粵語語言學和電腦輔助語言學習等領域發表論文。
